Our counsellors support individuals of all ages

Family Matters is a private counselling office of qualified counsellors, all certified under regulatory bodies. Family Matters was established in 2007 and has been serving the community since that time.

 

All of our counsellors have extensive experience working in therapeutic settings.

Our specialties include working with clients experiencing:

Self-esteem issues, depression, anger management problems, bullying, self-harm, trauma, addiction and women’s issues.

 

We also have experience  working with clients experiencing issues related to abuse in intimate relationships, building healthy relationships, post-divorce rebuilding, traumatic life events, grief, conflict resolution, workplace conflict, sexual identity, sexual assault treatment and sexual abuse treatment

 

In addition, we assist clients who have diagnosed and undiagnosed mental health issues including mood disorders, personality disorders, ADD and ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, OCD, and post traumatic stress disorder as well as psychosis.

Our family work includes: play therapy, parent/child conflict resolution, communication, blending families, parenting issues, help to navigate all stages of parenting from toddlers to the teen years, separation, and co-parenting as well as marriage and couples counselling.

Kerry Casey

Kerry is a Licensed Counselling Therapist (L.C.T.) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. Prior to becoming a counselling therapist, Kerry worked for over twenty years as a school counsellor, both in the school setting and with an Integrated Service Delivery Child and Youth Team.

As a certified trauma counsellor, Sheri has developed an expertise in helping clients navigate their journey through traumatic experiences, loss, relationship breakdown, Addiction, Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, and Anxiety.

Jeff is a highly skilled clinical therapist who draws upon over 19 years of experience and training in the areas of addiction, mental health, relationships, and emotional resiliency.  

Jeff is a Masters level Social Worker and registered in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.

Our counsellors offer flexible appointment times including weekday, evening and some weekend appointments.  Please reach out to enquire about appointment time availability as well as fees and payment options.

We are covered under most insurance plans. Ask your insurance provider as there are exceptions.  Session cancellation fees may apply.
